John E. Masterson, Sr, 82, a retired barber, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his son at 12-6 S. 18th St. Born at Darlington, he was married to Bertha Ann Nichols who preceded him in death in 1914. He was a member of the Congress Street Methodist Church. Surviving are the son, John Earl, Jr. of this city and one brother, Charles W. Masterson of this city. – kbz
